For some of the COHS, Inc., animals available for adoption, please see our listing on www.petfinder.com. Animals available for adoption are spayed or neutered and are current on vaccinations, including rabies. Dogs are also heartworm tested negative and microchipped. Cats are also FIV/FELV negative. All other animals are up to date on vaccinations and de-worming.
Our regular adoptions are at the PetSmart at the corner of Watt Ave. and Arden Way in Sacramento, California, Sundays from 1PM to 6PM. You may also arrange for an appointment to see a particular rescuee by calling Kurt at (916) 709-8657.
Once adopted, COHS will be checking in on our rescuees and their new families through phone contacts, emails, and home visits as needed to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible. We are available for consultation anytime if there are questions or concerns, and to hear about the successes and accomplishments that our critters and their forever family have achieved together. It is a privilege to be contributing to such a special connection in our community of animal lovers, and to help educate the public in the proper care and maintenance of it's pets.
In December, you can have your pet(s)' pictures taken with Santa--in time for the Holidays--the first three weekends in a row. Photos are digital and will be printed on site--all fees go to PetSmart charities and their animal beneficiaries!
You can download our adoption application forms and FAX or email them back to us if you are interested in adopting one of our rescuees, or are just looking for the right match for a companion down the road. We will respond as soon as possible, and will keep your information on file for future opportunities if we can't offer a good fit right now.
